How To Lose Weight

Do you remember when you were young? The need to lose weight never occurred to you. Life was good, you could eat whatever you wanted, had tons of energy and it seemed you could fit into whatever style of clothes you decided to wear.

Then things changed,we got older.

Now getting older is a good thing. However with working a full time job, raising a family and just dealing with the day to day stresses of life will take it's toll.

Now with life being more demanding, this caused a change in our lifestyle.For a lot of us this meant more fast food, not enough sleep and less exercise.

What was the end result? Gaining weight!

Now there is nothing wrong with being a couple pounds overweight.

Right?

For me the problem was I kept adjusting what a couple of pounds was. What was 2 became 5, 5 became 10 and 10 became 20. Well you get the picture.

It came to a point in my life where I left a sport that was a very big part of my life. I quit because I thought I did not want it anymore. The truth was I was out of shape and to fat to compete at that level. Yes the truth does hurt sometimes. But that is another story.

So anyway I knew I had to do something about it

The 2 questions in my mind was how and what is the best way to achieve this goal

Now before I continue I just want to make a very important point. If you really want to lose weight you have to do it for the right reasons. Every person has their own reasons to start a weight loss program. There a going to be some ups and downs. Do not panic if you gain a few pounds back. This is normal.

In my opinion the thing you should be focused on is a better life for YOU. The benefits will filter down to all parts of your life as you become a happier and healthier person.
